MOVIE RATING & SUGGESTED AUDIENCE

  • Is Roe v Wade a Christian movie? It’s not a strictly religious, faith-based movie, but it stresses themes of protecting the unborn, honesty, redemption, and justice.
  • Is the movie appropriate for children? Due to the realistic depiction of abortion in the 1970s, we advise caution regarding younger viewers and would suggest a minimum age of 16 (depending on the maturity of the individual).

An Early Christmas Present for Middle Georgia

An early Christmas Present!

Praise the Lord!

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philipians 4:4-7

Dear Friends,

It is with great joy in our hearts that we are able to share with you that God has granted Macon/Middle Georgia a wonderful gift to preserve life!  Please see the below announcement from the Kolbe Center:
~
The Kolbe Center is happy to announce that the building at 833 Walnut Street, which was the planned site of the Summit Center abortion business, has been purchased by [a precious couple] and the lease with Summit Center was terminated as a condition of the purchase; consequently, the abortion business will not be coming to Walnut Street.  The Kolbe Center will remain vigilant for any effort by Summit Center to secure another medical office building in Macon or the surrounding area and will oppose this if it should occur. The [couple that bought the property] are going to make the building at Walnut Street available to the Kolbe Center. An architect will provide renovation plans and the Kolbe Center will need help with funding the improvements in the coming months. Upon completion of the building rehabilitation, the Kolbe Center will relocate to the Walnut Street address, thus restoring with life a building which was destined to be a chamber of death!  More to come. Amen. Hallelujah!

Please join us in giving praise and thanks to God our Savior and King for this wonderful blessing.  What a wonderful early Christmas present!  A special thank you to this wonderful couple for their generosity and heart for life that has been put into amazing action.  Let us continue this good work.  We do need to remain vigilant!  We need to not loose the momentum the pro-life community is gathering here in Macon/Middle Georgia.  Evil flourishes when good people become complacent and do nothing.  Let that not be said of us.  Standing for life…this mission field we call “Pro-Life”…is far from a war won.  This is a huge victory today and should be celebrated!  But, do not be surprised if the enemy retaliates.  Continue to pray.  Continue to stand.  Continue to partner with the wonderful Pro-life agencies here in Middle Georgia. Continue to seek to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those in our community that are hurting and contemplating or seeking abortion(s).  Christ will have the victory over death in its entirety!  Today, we Rejoice!

Standing for Life and in Christ’s Service,
The Macon Stands for Life Team
PS: If you would like to send a note of gratitude to the [couple] you may send it care of the Kolbe Center at: 1157 Forsyth St #201. Macon, GA 31201

Our next Chapter Meeting will be at Covenant Care Adoptions on January 14th at 6:30pm.
A fitting reminder of the faithfulness of God and our need to pray…

But as for me, my prayer is to you, O Lord. At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of your steadfast love answer me in your saving faithfulness…

Answer me, O Lord, for your steadfast love is good; according to your abundant mercy, turn to me. Hide not your face from your servant, for I am in distress; make haste to answer me…I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving. Draw near to my soul, redeem me; ransom me because of my enemies!

When the humble see it they will be glad; you who seek God, let your hearts revive. For the Lord hears the needy and does not despise his own people who are prisoners. Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas and everything that moves in them.

Psalm 69

Open Letter on the Judge Ennis’ Ruling

Dear Friend,

On this past Tuesday, (October 23rd, 2018) in Macon, Judge Ennis dismissed the case which appealed for an additional hearing with Planning & Zoning to address the approval of the Summit Abortion Center. The Plaintiffs are considering an appeal.

While we are of course grieved by this result, we are by no means broken. This is an opportunity – not one we would ask for, but nevertheless one we’ve been given – to stand for life knowing that we will be doing so with the very real threat of death hanging over some of the most vulnerable members of our community. And so we would encourage all who stand for life with us not to see this as the end of the war, but rather as the beginning of a campaign.

The Campaign for Life will require much of us, of that there can be no doubt and we won’t try to hide that fact. It will require prayer, first, last, and always. Pray for our God to change hearts and save lives – the live of these babies, the lives of their mommies, but also the lives and hearts of those who may eventually work at this abortion center. We believe in a God who saves, and we believe He is calling His people in this community to rise up and seek salvation, in every possible sense, for those who will find themselves involved in the industry of genocide.

The Campaign for Life will require time and presence – your time and presence as efforts are made to reach out to those who find themselves in danger, and as training and informational events are offered to equip those campaigning for life.

The Campaign for Life will require financial support. While we will continue to seek to be responsible and discerning in the use of funds, the truth is that our efforts to coordinate the Campaign for Life will come with some expense, and we will need your help with that.

Now, let’s be realistic about something else as well. The campaign for life will not be something you (or we) can put 100% of your life and resources into 100% of the time. So it’s important that we set reasonable expectations. We will commit to remain in prayer regarding the Summit Center, and we trust you will as well. But time, presence, and money are scarce resources. We understand. So we ask that you make it a matter of prayer as well in the coming days, that you determine what level of time, presence, and financial resources you and your family can reasonably devote to this cause for the long-haul, and then be faithful. Not faithful to or for Macon Stands for Life, but faithful in service to the One who gave us life, in being a voice for life in our community.

Ways to get involved and Stand for Life: Actions Steps

1. For those who want to join others in the community in prayer there is a weekly open air Prayer Meeting held in front of 833 Walnut St. (the site if the proposed abortion facility) every Monday morning from 7:00-8:00am.

2. Upcoming Training and Educational opportunity: Macon Stands for Life will hold its next chapter meeting on November 15th at the Kolbe Center starting at 6:30pm.  We will be teaching on pro-life topics, how to defend your faith on the subjects of personhood, human rights, and more.  Ann Beall the Executive Director of The Kolbe Center will give us an up-date and tour of the Kolbe Center as well.  You will not want to miss this event!

3. Sidewalk Advocates for Life training:  Sidewalk advocates are the “First Responders” in the pro-life cause.  These are trained volunteers that meet abortion minded women outside of the “clinic” and offer hope with sincerity, real care and love for the mother, baby, and the Lord. (We pray this facility will never open, but we must prepare now in case it does.)  I, Jennifer, personally have gone through this training and I highly recommend it to you! Email for more details.  This is a free Christian event, but registration is required to prepare material.  The next training will be Sunday, November 11th, 1:00-5:00pm. Please email Ann Beall at ann@kolbecentermacon.org or call 478-257-4425

4. Donate to Georgia Right to Life’s educational fund so we can continue to bring education, discussion, training, and pro-life billboards to Middle Georgia.

Thank you for standing for life.  As always, please share this email with others and consider becoming a Life Liaison today.

For from Him, and through Him, and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever, Amen. ~Romans 11:36
